V1 classes are beneficial for everyone. The most advanced instructors and practitioners of the Pilates Method have developed an understanding of the Foundations and Principles that underlie the Pilates Method and return repeatedly to the basics to gain increased strength, flexibility and focus. Each movement has its own design and parameters and it is our goal to find within ourselves our best version of each movement.

Practicing in a V1 class allows you to slow down and be mindful of the beginning and end points of each movement. You are able to concentrate more fully on connecting these points precisely with smooth fluid movements and find your best version of that movement for yourself at that particular moment.

Focusing on developing precision in Pilates takes concentration and control. These principles support your ability to remain connected to keep your core engaged. V1 classes allow you to optimize each movement while flowing with your smooth guiding breath. Returning to Pilates foundations gives us the opportunity to develop the muscle of focus. Moving purposefully brings awareness to your breath and the mind/body connection that keeps your core activated.
