Originally, I felt I needed to learn Pilates because the club that I was working at changed the management structure and I was given Pilates along with group exercises to manage.

In my teaching, I specialize in.....
My classes are created with my background in Exercise Physiology and all the formats of group exercises I have taught. I specialize in more of an athletic-based class vs classical Pilates.

I love helping people to become the best version of themselves. When someone tells me that class made them feel strong and accomplished, I am over the moon! I want everyone to feel good in their own body and have confidence they can do anything they are willing to try and work at doing.

I am a Fitness fanatic - from boxing to yoga, running to somatic dance, I'll try any workout at least once. I am kinesthetic so its important to me to always stay connected to my body and I can accomplish this through working out and conscious movements.

I'm a Bay area native who recently transitioned from the tech world of corporate marketing to Pilates and the business of wellness for body and mind through movement, meditation and good nutrition. Sitting sedentary at a desk for 9+ hours a day, made me quickly realize how much pressure and lack of love our spines and core unit receive. I found pilates as a solution for nagging back pain, low energy levels and quickly fell in love. However, it was Mimi San who brought life to my love of Pilates and gave it meaning and purpose. Over the past year, I've been able to work with many different bodies and see the direct correlation between the breath and movement and the zest for life that Pilates provides.

Outside of pilates, I'm probably somewhere on the coast sitting by an ocean or learning from the great outdoors, on my yoga mat exploring new ways to connect with my body or spending time with my husband and Buddy - my cat.

Really excited to join the Pilates V family and continue learning and growing from each and every one of you.

I sustained an injury while I was dancing in a national tour. Part of my rehabilitation included Pilates. I fell in love with the movement and it's restorative and strengthening principles. After having experienced the benefits of Pilates first-hand, I decided to pursue my first comprehensive certification with Peak Pilates in 2006. In 2016, I decided to expand my Pilates training to include not only the classical method of Peak and went through the more contemporary Balanced Body Pilates program.

In my teaching, I specialize in.....
Creative flows that challenge the body and mind in every direction and leave you feeling elongated and stronger.

What I most enjoy about teaching is .....
When my passion for Pilates is contagious and someone else falls in love with the movement.

When I am not in the studio you will find me....
Headed to wine country with my husband and friends. Cuddled up on the couch watching Netflix. Exploring all there is to do in the Bay Area.

Talk a little bit about what brought you to teach Pilates
I have taught dance and yoga for a number of years, and I have always enjoyed Pilates and had an interest in teaching it, but the timing wasn't right for one reason or another. When the world shut down due to Covid I had some time to reflect about pursuing some of my many interests, and it so happened that I ran across Pilates V and saw that they were offering a teaching program, and the timing couldn't have been any more perfect.

What I most enjoy about teaching is .....
Supporting the students to give their personal best while staying in tune with their bodies.

When I am not in the studio you will find me ( list of things you like to do, enjoy, family, etc.
I enjoy spending time with my family and dogs, the arts, exercising, gardening, being out in nature, and traveling.

Talk a little bit about what brought you to teach Pilates
The love of fitness and sport has been a huge part of my life since Elementary school. This passion lead me in getting my bachelor in Kinesiology and working in a physical therapy clinic for a year. I also have experience coaching a youth team a while back. I tried Pilates for the first time when I was in tech and a few years later through Pilates V, where I realized how my body is changing in a way it has never before. My chronic low back pain was almost gone and I felt stronger and more flexible. I ended up loving it so much that I wanted to increase my knowledge on Pilates Methods and eventually become an instructor.
What I most enjoy about teaching is ...
The rewarding feeling of helping people in their health, fitness and recovery journey.
When I am not in the studio you will find me..
Playing Team Handball or Volleyball. Reading, traveling, scuba diving or riding my motorcycle:)
