**This class is not a full workout, but a fundamentals class**
Learn the unique FOUNDATIONS AND PRINCIPLES of the Pilates Method
The most advanced instructors and practitioners spend most of their time practicing and returning to the v1 basics, because that’s where the real juice is.
This is the HEART of the Pilates Method and where you will want to spend your time, energy and dollars to get the MOST out of your Pilates practice.
Develop an understanding of the Foundations and Principles that underlie the Pilates Method, gain strength, flexibility and focus before progressing to the next level. You’ll enjoy a safe, dynamic, balanced workout set to upbeat music using a variety of equipment including the Reformer, Springboard, EXO Chair and small props.
You’re aware of your body’s strengths and weaknesses and familiar with making modifications and adjustments to suit your needs. Your strength, flexibility and ability to focus and engage specific muscles has evolved. You’ve been practicing Pilates principles and developed considerably more core strength than when you began. You’re ready to challenge yourself with additional movements that require balance and coordination in this mixed-level class.
Advanced practitioners have been practicing Pilates for at least 2 years, can self align and self correct. Once you have a strong foundation and a consistent practice, you’re ready to apply your best form, balance and self-awareness to our most challenging and engaging Pilates repertoire. You’ll build on v1 and v2 basics with a fun variety of advanced Pilates movements using the Reformer, Springboard, EXO Chair and props in a balanced, whole body workout set to popping music.
